Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FieldMate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and FieldMate ("we", "us", or "our"). We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
Description of Service
FieldMate is a field service management application designed to help water purifier technicians and similar field service professionals:
- Manage customer records and contact details
- Schedule and track AMC and one-time service visits
- Receive reminders for upcoming and overdue visits
- Log service notes and voice recordings
- View service history per customer
The App is available on Android via Google Play. An iOS version is in development. Features may change or be discontinued at our discretion.
User Responsibilities
By using FieldMate, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your profile and customer records
- Obtain appropriate consent from your customers before storing their personal data in the App
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share your account with others
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its underlying systems
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App in ways not intended by its design
You are solely responsible for all data you enter into the App and for ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Account and Data
FieldMate operates as an offline-first application. Your data is stored primarily on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your own data.
If you enable cloud sync, your data will be stored on our servers in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you enter.
If your account is inactive for more than 12 months, we may delete your cloud data after giving you 30 days' notice via email.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of FieldMate — including but not limited to the app design, source code, graphics, logos, and text — are the exclusive property of FieldMate and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal business operations as a field service technician. This licence does not include:
- Sublicensing or reselling the App
- Creating derivative works based on the App
- Using FieldMate's branding without prior written consent
Free Tier and Paid Plans
FieldMate is currently free to download and use. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do:
- Existing users will receive at least 30 days' advance notice
- A free tier will always remain available with core features
- All pricing will be clearly disclosed before any payment is required
Disclaimer of Warranties
FieldMate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Reminders or notifications will be delivered in all circumstances
- Data stored in the App will never be lost (always back up important data)
You use the App at your own risk. We strongly recommend maintaining your own records of customer information and service history.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FieldMate and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:
- Loss of business or revenue due to missed reminders
- Loss of customer data due to device failure or app errors
- Any damage arising from reliance on data shown in the App
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹500 if the App was used free of charge).
Termination
You may stop using FieldMate at any time by uninstalling the App. To delete your account and all associated cloud data, go to Profile → Account → Delete Account within the App, or email us at hi@veestarsolutions.in. Deletion completes after a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel — see our account deletion page for full detail.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. We will provide notice before doing so unless the violation is severe.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of FieldMate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
